Desperate Plea for Help

There doesn't seem to be any clothing stores for men that don't involve giant pants or t-shirts that say something like "Party In My Pantz!" or some lame "vintage" logo of a cartoon character saying, "Charlie's Foot-Long Weiners! Cause Everyone Loves A Long One!" And you know what? I just made that up. I could sell that for 40 weiners at Urban Outfitters. I refuse to shop there.

Everything I wear is from the Gap, and everything I find there is basically mediocre (except for their jeans). I'm tired of the Gap, I would never touch Abercrombie, and the department stores never have anything all that interesting.

So, any suggestions? I'll even try online stores - just show me something that stands out and doesn't make me look like either a boring 15 year old or a frat boy.

I know exactly what you mean. It started to become nearly impossible for me to find jeans or pants that didn't look like they would fit 2 people inside. The whole "ghetto-baggy" look is not for me.

Around the malls, I like Express Men and American Eagle. Both have really nice jeans, t-shirt, button up shirts, polos, etc, that are actually tailored to "fit" a human body. Express, obviously, is a bit more dressy, and American Eagle is a bit more casual/rustic.

Target also has really good men's clothes at really good prices. Lots of stuff that looks like clothes from Express/American Eagle at better prices.

I may have to hit up Target. American Eagle has always been somewhat promising, too. Express is a bit too dressy, but I have bought a few things there. Thanks, Jake!

american apparel is nice. its a bit pricey at times but its good quality shit that will last you. its good to have a few items from there. also, H&M is awesome for guys (i wasnt impressed too much with the womens' dept). and its pretty cheap too, so you should check that out. and then thrift stores too, weee, those always manage to have gold hidden in there (or secondhand stores like crossroads here in SC). so thats my suggestion i guess. :O)im glad i got to see you this weekend, yippieeee!

I might check out h&m and I've been wanting to go on a secondhand store run for awhile now. I just seriously cannot handle any more Gap stuff!

!!

Have you tried American Rag on Van Ness? Sometimes it's overpriced but sometimes you find a winner for cheap. I love that store, check it out.

Re: !!

Oh yeah, I've been there, I was really suprised at some of the deals, but the deals are the "vintage" stuff in the back of the store, the front of the the store is really kinda expensive.
